"Ok, so listing is FREE, but why should I take the time to fill out these long detailed forms in order to register my Sale Horse or Buy Offer with Equipoise®?"

The answer is simple and explained below.

Efforts Are Not Lost

Filling out an Equipoise® form allows you to think through questions Buyers always ask. In addition, your efforts will not be lost; because you can always use the ID# SELECTION LIST to retrieve your information for printing or e-mail. Even if your submittal is eventually removed from the NEW ARRIVALS page (and never makes it to the qualified listings) your submitted information will still be readily available to you using the ID# provided during the qualification process.

Think about that. Your one time effort of expressing your horse's true worth provides an archived copy of its performance information—forever available to anyone, in a concise, easy to read, standardized format.

Buyers enjoy the same benefits when submitting their Offers. Here's how it works.

How To

To receive contact information regarding any of the Sale Horses or Buy Offers listed on the Equipoise database, you must first add your own qualified Buy Offer or Sale Horse plus your own Contact Information. Afterwards you may follow the guidelines given at: HOW TO QUERY THE DATABASE.

You may add to the database using either the SALE HORSE SUBMITTAL FORM, or the BUY OFFER SUBMITTAL FORM, plus a mandatory (one time only) CONTACT SUBMITTAL FORM. Of course each Sale Horse and each Buy Offer requires its own form, but your Contact Form covers all future submittals. All Contact Information other than City, State place on Sale and Buy Offer forms will be removed.

The separate Contact Form is necessary because information you provide there may differ significantly from information you submit on a specific SALE HORSE or  BUY OFFER form. For example, you may personally be training at Grand Prix Dressage, but are submitting a horse that only performs at Training Level.

After qualification you may easily QUERY THE DATABASE regarding Contact Information for possible matches—also at no charge. Of course you can already learn a lot on your own (even before qualification) using the interactive SALE HORSE LISTINGS and BUY OFFER LISTINGS.

What it means

The Equipoise® site is totally FREE of charge. EQUIPOISE® LISTINGS ARE NOT PAID FOR ADS but rather PRE-SCREENED QUALIFIED LISTINGS. They are carefully selected from a massive database and qualified through the Equipoise proprietary filtering process. Horses are automatically added to the NEW ARRIVALS page at the moment a form is submitted. They are removed from that list after one month (sometimes a little longer), but may still be available on the QUALIFIED SALE HORSE DATABASE and will always be available from the ID# SELECTION LIST using the number provided during the qualification process--even if the horse never makes it onto the qualified list.

Caveats

If you are nervous about submitting online forms (as you should be), please review the PRIVACY POLICY. If you are still not reassured, that just means you have done your homework and understand how frightening the Internet really is. Nevertheless, a large number of people have entrusted Equipoise® with their information. These kind people have provided Equipoise® a broad understanding of the horse industry and enabled development of an unparalleled equine sales referral system.

Restrictions

You must be at least 18 years old to submit forms, but all ages are welcome to browse the site.

Also, free does not mean easy. Only one submittal in ten qualifies for publication, saving time for both Sellers and Buyers in finding that perfect match. Generally listings fail to qualify due to lack of information (or too generalized information) being submitted. Anybody who is willing to honestly describe their horse's attributes, or their purchase requirements, will probably achieve publication.

Be aware that each meta-index listing refers only to a single Sale Horse or Buy Offer. One horse is never published under multiple categories as if it were a prospect in every possible sport. It is something done routinely on other sites, but not at Equipoise®. Doing so would pump up the apparent number of listings available, but it would also give rise to misdirection and confusion.

Also take note that Equipoise® maintains a severe anti-spam policy. Break it, and your horses and offers will be removed from publication.
